Small town communities with their own resident Bogey Men. As HALLOWEEN is upon us it seemed only right that Paradise Heights should have it's own Bogey Man...or at least a particular place there...
Athlone Avenue, Paradise Heights...?????????
Right back from when I wrote the stage play RANK I had always wanted to show what happened in LUCKY CABS Driver MAREK's ghostly encounter out on lonely Athlone Avenue on that HALLOWEEN night. As a theatre audience we only heard MAREK desperately calling into the rank from his cab radio, clearly distressed and a little terrified. An encounter that took place at the stroke of Midnight...
THE WATCHER gave me the opportunity to do just that...for those that haven't seen the film it will be uploaded online and appropriately - on HALLOWEEN. We'll keep it up there for a week for you to watch free of charge...it's a nice little Halloween Tale from Paradise Heights...hope you enjoy it and it would be lovely to have your feedback.
In the meantime here is the short version of BEN MOTTERSHEAD's excellent Documentary on the making of the film - there will be a fuller version of the documentary available next week.
